EmDash owns human-authored editorial content, collection routing, navigation menus, and media files. DinkusKit Commerce (installed via the EmDash Registry under runtime ID r_gshdrqaldna3r7sn) owns product identity, USD minor-unit pricing, manual or managed availability, and guest checkout readiness.
Our themes never read _plugin_storage tables directly, never trust browser-supplied prices, and never silently convert a website into a shop until COMMERCE_ENABLED=1 is configured. When Commerce is disabled, shop and cart routes return 404 while CMS pages render normally.
