CSS Token System & Cascade Layers

How tokens.css, theme.css, and explicit @layer priorities keep storefront presentation modular and conflict-free.

EmDash themes do not use a runtime parent/child theme hierarchy. Instead, SAARIUS themes organize styling through explicit CSS cascade layers (@layer store-reset, store-tokens, store-blocks, store-shell, store-atelier, store-utilities) and semantic custom properties (--store-* and --dinkus-*).

Light and dark schemes are art-directed through CSS light-dark() tokens paired with @media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) fallbacks and a zero-FOUC <meta name="color-scheme"> selector bridge.
